Once again I went back to my favorite car wash/fuel station today. This time I went before meeting family for breakfast, and it was as quick as usual.
I have limited mobility so I always ask Javier, the owner, if he could swipe my card and fill the tank with regular, and add an express wash. Doing this means you get 20 cents per gallon off the price of fuel without the car wash - this time i paid $4.99 for regular.
He handed me the receipt and I drove around to the car wash entrance, where a very handsome young man named Cristian guided me onto the rollers, then came to mark my receipt that I used the car wash I paid for. He said he didn't speak English (a little) and I couldn't get his name to put in this review, but after I was done and drove over to have Javier and Cristian turn my outside mirrors back into their original position, I asked Javier. Both men dried my windows and mirrors, which isn't usually included in an express wash, something I always appreciate.
I live 15 miles from this business and would not go anywhere else!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 6, 2023Previous reviewWent out for breakfast with family and friends today, and although my gas tank was at 3/4, I decided to go to my favorite car wash/gas station as the tree debris and spiders living in my driver's side and passenger side mirrors had built a home, and I knew my car would receive the best.
It was quite busy but Javier spotted my car immediately and came over to swipe my card and fill the tank (easier as I have mobility issues and a handicap placard), adding another express wash. He was running back and forth from a car he was drying off and greeted me with a smile, as always, even though it was almost 90 F. today. He came back after the tank was full and gave me the receipt, which I presented to Herman when I got to the car wash entrance.
Herman marked that it had been used, and my car continued through the car wash. It looked as amazing as always, and after stopping to have Javier rotate the mirrors back into place (Herman moved them before I entered the wash cycle), Javier insisted on drying all the mirrors and glass on my car, making sure there was no water under the cowl that would fly up during my drive home.
I really appreciate Javier and Herman and their attention to detail when I bring my car in each time. I've said it before, but I live 15 miles from this car wash and would go nowhere else for the best service, not to mention that I paid only $4.49/gallon for regular today (discounted because I bought a car wash when filling the tank). Thanks again, Javier and Herman, you're the best!Jul 10, 2023Previous reviewLast week I came back to my favorite and only station to fill my car's tank and get an express car wash. As soon as I arrived I waved at Javier, who came right over and swiped my card and filled the tank, adding the express wash. He does this because as someone with a handicap placard, it's much easier for me to ask him to do it instead of struggling to get in and out of the driver's seat, which he always does with a smile.
After the tank was full he gave me the receipt and met me at the entrance to the car wash, stamped the receipt showing that I had used the car wash I paid for, swiveled both outside mirrors up, and my car began going through the wash. Right when the car had almost been pushed out by the rollers at the end of the drying, he appeared with a clean cloth to wipe both mirrors and turn them back to their original position, and wiped all the glass including underneath the wiper blades.
I always receive excellent service at this station, and although I live at least 15 miles away, I don't go anywhere else because of the great service I always receive.
In addition, the per gallon price is always 20 cents less when you also purchase a car wash, so I didn't pay much over $4/gallon this visit. Highly recommended!May 13, 2023Previous reviewTime once again to fill my car's tank (the price this time, with discount because I also got a car wash, was $4.19 for regular), and an express wash this time. My car was filthy from intermittent rain, lots of pollen and dust, and condensation at night.
There is nothing like an all black car when it is clean, so I was happy to visit my favorite gas station/car wash.
I pulled up to a pump and waved at Herman, who was standing outside. His face brightened up as soon as he saw me, and he ran over to my car. I asked him as usual (because I have mobility issues so it's hard to keep getting in and out of my car) if he would please fill my tank with regular and add an express wash. About that time, Javier the owner/manager came over and between the two of them, my tank was filled and the car wash added.
After removing the fuel nozzle and showing me the receipt, Herman held onto the receipt and headed for the beginning of the car wash. I pulled around and after he was satisfied that my car was in the right position and in neutral, he marked the receipt that the car wash was being used, and handed it to me. He also tilted my outside rear view mirrors up so they were not in the way of the car wash apparatus as the car moved through.
After the wash, rinse and dry were done, I pulled over to the office area so someone could rotate the mirrors back to their original position. Herman was probably at the car wash entrance helping someone else start their wash, so Javier grabbed some clean cloths and although the express wash does not usually provide a hand drying, he went meticulously over my car, drying under the cowl/wiper blade area which usually has residual water that flies out when I am at freeway speeds (but not this time - it was dry!), and he went around the car twice to be sure all the water was removed (I have a 2015 Dodge Charger with spoiler, and front fascia that has many parts and openings). This is something that is innate - not everyone would think to do this.
I gave him a generous tip for the above visit, and as a thank you for the fact that every time I visit, they always pump my fuel for me to save me from having to get out of the car multiple times, something that is greatly appreciated.
Thanks again Javier and Herman, when it's time to fill my car and get a car wash again, you will definitely see me. I live at least 15 miles from Homestead Car Wash, but it's worth the drive!Mar 26, 2023Previous reviewI went back to Homestead Car Wash (not Shell anymore, can't revise the name) today to use the car wash I purchased a month ago, when it was raining (it is good for 30 days from purchase). Today and at least a few more days will be sunny, and I did have pollen and a spider that lives in my driver's side outer mirror and makes webs, so I drove in from the side driveway opening right before the start of the car wash approach, since I didn't need gas this time.
Javier came out looking puzzled but then recognized me, and I reminded him that I had purchased an express wash last month and was coming to redeem it (received 20 cents/gallon off the price at that time - now it is back to 10 cents a gallon off the price of the fuel when purchasing a car wash, much cheaper than most stations).
He turned my outside mirrors up before starting the car wash, and just as the last of the drying from the blower was still running, suddenly Herman appeared and started wiping off all my glass and mirrors, and putting the outside mirror back in place. I was very surprised! The express wash does not include any drying, wheel or tire cleaning or dressing, drying or my choice of air freshener packet.
They appreciate my great reviews and I really appreciate that they go above and beyond to give me an outstanding customer experience every single time! I live 15 miles from this car wash and would go nowhere else because of the great service they provide.
Thanks, Javier and Herman, and thank you to the owner (Luis?). I hope everyone who reads this review and wants an excellent car wash with friendly service and a discount on gas prices when purchasing a wash will come see you.Feb 26, 2023Previous reviewToday my son and I were going out of town so I filled up at my favorite service station/car wash. It is about 15 miles from my residence but I go nowhere else because I like everything about this station.
Since I have a handicap placard, I held it up and Javier came out of the office to swipe my card and fill the tank for me. I really appreciate this friendly and kind service every time!
Today it was raining so I wasn't going to get my car washed, but I did pay for an express wash when refueling, which gives me 10 cents per gallon off the posted price. The car wash code is good for 30 days from the date I paid for the wash, so I will return on a nice sunny day.
Thanks again, Javier, and thank you to the owner as well for your great products and service!Nov 27, 2022Previous reviewAfter breakfast with my son, I headed over to fill my car's tank and get another great car wash. Even though I live 10-15 miles away from it, I only frequent this car wash because of the excellent car washes, the outstanding service by their employees, and the discounted per gallon price on gas when I am buying a car wash at the same time. Today I paid $4.54/gallon which is less than I saw at various other gas stations on my way home afterward.
Today when I pulled in there were notes on all the pumps saying that the card readers were not working, and to go inside to pay. Since I have limited mobility it would have been difficult for me to do that, so I got the attention of Herman and he asked Javier to come over. Javier turned on the pump and Herman filled the tank. Javier then looked at the number of gallons that Herman put in my tank and took my credit card, ran it and then brought a paper receipt for me to sign. He pointed out the discount I received for buying a car wash, which was shown separately on the receipt since the card reader wasn't working.
I then pulled around to the car wash entrance, Herman rotated my exterior mirrors upward in preparation for the car wash, and afterward he rotated them back into place. He even wiped off all the exterior glass, even though I bought the express wash which doesn't include that service (ordinarily I opt for the top wash which includes tire dressing, wheel cleaner and my choice of air freshener, as well as a full hand drying with clean towels).
Thanks again, Javier and Herman, for providing the same level of service I have always received from this great car wash!Sep 13, 2022Previous reviewI haven't driven anywhere for over three months, and my poor car definitely showed that it needed a spa day, so I went to my favorite car wash/gas station, Homestead Car Wash (it's no longer a Shell, but I can't change the title).
I was greeted by Luis, an owner/manager, as well as Elmer. The two of them were running around taking care of the car wash as well as the customers who needed to pay inside, and the ones whose cars they were drying and detailing. I've never seen anyone move so fast! and they did it with a smile. They are the two most hardworking men I've encountered in a long time!
Since it's difficult for me to get in and out of my car multiple times, I hang my handicap placard and ask them to take my credit card and swipe it, choosing regular fuel and which particular car wash I want on that day. They are always happy to do this, and sometimes I tip them a few dollars. It's really helpful to me for sure.
After fueling they give me the receipt which shows the car wash code, and when I drive around to the automatic car wash, they mark the receipt as seen, rotate my driver and passenger side mirrors upward for the car wash, and start the mechanism to slowly push the wheels of my car through the car wash.
When I come out, if I have gotten an express wash I just drive off, but today my car needed more TLC, so I got the most expensive one, which also includes tire dressing and wheel cleaning as well as my choice of fragrance for a freshener (lavender is always calming). :-)
Luis went over my car to dry it at least three times, and paid special attention to areas like the grille and body molding around it, the mirrors, and he is tall enough to reach the center of the roof (I have a large car, a Dodge Charger). Elmer did the wheels and tires and was so fast he finished them before Luis finished drying! Luis also noticed there were a few sap drips from the redwood trees near my home, and carefully removed them with a razor blade. It's hard to tell there is glass - no spots either.
I really appreciate having a great car wash I can count on, and although I live about 15 miles away from this one, I make a point of coming here to receive the best friendly service anywhere. Thanks again, Luis and Elmer and everyone!
Almost forgot to say that if you get a car wash when you buy fuel, you pay 10 cents/gallon less than just buying gas. Today I paid $5.05 for regular - last time I came here in early June, I paid $4.98. I was fortunate enough to miss the high gas prices between those visits. :-)Mar 1, 2022Previous reviewThis past weekend, I went to the Homestead Car Wash (no longer a Shell) to fill my car's tank and get a car wash, the first visit since November!
When I pulled up to the pump in the late afternoon, a very nice man named Javier rushed over when I asked if someone could run the card and pump my gas for me. He smiled and said he would in just a few minutes and rushed off to the car wash entrance to alert my favorite guy, Kevin, to come over and help me, which he did. We chatted while he took care of filling my car's tank, and then went over to the car wash entrance to greet me as I pulled over there and swiveled my car's mirrors before it entered the wash area (and Javier swiveled them back in place after I exited the wash area).
I usually get the most expensive wash which includes tire dressing and wheel cleaning and an air freshener, but since it was supposed to rain this week I opted instead for the express wash.
My car looked amazing as always! And the per-gallon price was only $4.28 (without the car wash it's $4.48, still a lot less than the $5 at the rest of the gas stations I've seen). Highly recommended!
Thanks, Kevin and Javier, for your always excellent service!Sep 2, 2021Previous reviewThis is the ONLY car wash and gas station I have used for many years, and I drive over 15 miles one way to receive its outstanding customer service!
Today Kevin, one of my favorite people, helped me fill my tank and purchase the best of the car wash options, which includes tire dressing and wheel brightener as well as my choice of air fresheners. While Kevin was busy starting other cars through the car wash, Luis expertly dried my car (which is included in the car wash I purchased), then Kevin returned and did the wheels and tires.
I mentioned to Kevin as I was about to start the car wash process that there was a lot of bird poop on the horizontal surfaces, especially the hood, and my ceramic clearcoat thanked them afterward when it was perfectly clean!
Another perk of buying a car wash when you fill your tank is, a discount on the per-gallon fuel price. My car uses regular, and I paid $3.79/gallon, same as last time a month ago. Every other gas station I've seen is well over $4/gallon.
Thanks, Homestead Car Wash! (they are no longer a Shell station, but I can't change the title of this review). My car runs extremely well on their fuel! (you may or may not know that all fuel is refined by only two or three refining companies, regardless of the brand that is on the pump). :-)Jun 22, 2021Previous reviewReturned today for another of their great car washes. This time Eric helped me fill my tank and purchase the car wash, and I also met the very friendly owner, who said he's been there for quite a few years, but I don't usually go in the morning during the week, as I did today, so that may be why I hadn't seen him before. The gas price was lower with the car wash, of course (this time=3.71, last time=3.45). Much better than most gas stations these days.
The car wash dried my car off even better than usual, so it didn't need much hand drying. I highly recommend this station!May 28, 2021Previous reviewThis is no longer a Shell gas station, I was informed that the contract was not renewed, but the fuel is just fine. It's called Homestead Car Wash now, with new employees.
I decided in 2020 to return, and my experiences since then have been excellent. Kevin is one of the regular employees who always takes great care of me and my car, and the car looks amazing! The signs show two sets of gas prices - one set of prices is less expensive if you buy a car wash when you pay for your fuel, and that price is one of the lowest in this area.
I usually get the most expensive wash, which includes a pass through the automatic wash, towel dry with clean towels, tire dressing and wheel bright, as well as my choice of air fresheners. I live at least 15 miles from this car wash, but I make it a point to come here. Thanks, Kevin!Jul 1, 2018Previous reviewI used to love this car wash and have been going there for at least 10 years and have taken my current car there for the past three years with no issues, but after today, I am DONE!
I filled my car, a 2015 Dodge Charger, and bought a $15 car wash (Ultradeluxe), then got in the car wash line. The guy controlling the car wash, a teenager with braces, wanted me to move up really close to the car in front of me (the other cars in front of that one were so close they were no more than 6 inches from each other, not the usual way they do things), and I waved him off, so he turned his back on me and looked at his phone for awhile.
When the car in front of me was entering the car wash, I started moving forward. He started trying to bend my driver's side rear view mirror and I said it does not bend, he asked was it electric and I said yes; he asked me to move it. I said it does not move. The passenger side one got bumped lower the last couple of times I went through the car wash and I said that.
He said if I did not bend my mirrors in that he refused to allow me to go through the car wash, for which I had already paid $15 when I got gas. I was really angry - he said I could get a refund and I said forget it. He made the cars behind me back up and opened the chain blocking an exit ramp so I could leave.
I am still boiling mad. I never saw any of the people I usually see that work there. It is a Shell franchise so I plan to write them. The car wash cost $15 and I intend to get a refund but not by going there.
BEWARE!May 5, 2018Previous reviewThis is still my go-to car wash! They recently upgraded to more environmentally friendly equipment and process too. The same wonderful people are still here, and recently Allen surprised me with an upgrade on the car wash I paid for, just for being a loyal customer. They are the best!
Jul 15, 2017Previous reviewAlthough I no longer live near this car wash, I go there whenever I am in the neighborhood.
Their gas prices are lower if you buy a car wash (usually at least 10 cents a gallon cheaper) and the car wash is very decent. I used to get the ultradeluxe which includes attendants drying your car for you, and two vacuum cleaner machine tokens as well as your choice of room scent hangers you can put in your car, but lately I have just been getting the express wash (one step above the basic) and driving home to dry it off. Purists who want to see no water spots can opt for the ultradeluxe as I used to do.
I much prefer this type of automatic car wash, because the car is slowly pushed by rollers behind the left side wheels through the car wash. The other type (where you park and the machine goes around the car) gives me the willies.
The attendants at Homestead are hardworking and do a great job drying, and also prewashing the car before it passes through the automatic car wash with the occupant(s) inside. Kevin and Rolando are usually there operating the car wash and doing the prewashing. I don't know the names of the beautiful ladies who run the office and dry the cars off. All of their staff members are very nice and friendly, and make me want to return, and I do. - Audrina S.MT, United States015018Nov 6, 2022
Car wash is good and affordable. Quick and easy. Gas is cheap too, comparable to Costco prices.

Cheap gas but all the station does not work with my iphone app. Seems to be free air and water in the ground by the pump
I was able to turn my rewards number and get the discount once I swiped my credit card.
Accepts credit cards only at the pumpHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 144354103Jun 8, 2020
After paying for my car wash, I was about to enter my code when a woman came running telling me to get out of the line. She said that the owner doesn't want any cars with a TIRE in the back of the car to go through the car wash.
Also, the station store has limited and almost nothing in their store. You have better luck across the street at the 7-11.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Luke X.Daly City, United States2113398May 14, 2020
Honestly this was a decent car wash for the price. I used this wash for my daily ride to get rid of basic grime and dirt. The car is over 12 years old so my expectation was low. Nonetheless I didn't see any major issues like damages or paint scratches as other reviews have mentioned. Overall this is a good car wash location.

I've gotten car washes here several times over the last few years because its cheap and convenient.
Currently the lowest-priced option is $8.99 and does not include the towel dry option (only the highest-priced option includes this).
Only drawback, particularly during the pandemic, is that you must exit your car to buy the car wash code and then interact again with another staff member to have them enter your code at the entrance to the wash.
For the price I'm usually satisfied with the results, though I will echo the experience of another Yelper that said their SUV didn't have all the soap removed. This happened to me, but my husband's sports car did not have this issue.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 10, 2017
I doubt I will be back to this location after this experience- the gas is pricey and you have to go inside to enter your rewards information, which is super annoying. You also can't use debit
cards for some reason, so it's credit cards only at the pump. The snack selection inside is also super limited. The only positive is that they have a car wash, and you can save something like 20 cents per gallon if you pair it with a car wash.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sam V.Santa Clara, United States6213195Feb 26, 2017
Not happy!!!
Needed gas and a wash. Been here before. Done the same. Normally car comes out pretty good. Just dry and keep going. Today different story.
Front and rear end barely got touched. Rims still dirty. Next time I will just do my own wash.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - R. S.Atherton, United States0112Apr 24, 2020
the car wash SUCKS
I complained. Left soap on the two back SUV windows and the back hatch window UNBELIEVABLE when I pulled up to the clerk there she rambled on telling me that's how everyone's wash comes and you need to bring a towel to WIPE off the part that I was showing her. AMAZING as missed the lower half of my SUV and the 3 windows and left soap on it. TERRIBLE WASH Terrible service at this placeHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 27318676865Jun 25, 2018
Disclaimer that I don't really pay attention to gas prices when I need to fill up because I'm usually desperate to fill up before my car stalls on the road from being empty. This station is accessible from the parking lot with the Orenchi but it is a little confusing to get to if you're coming from this side because of the one way exit out of it and the lane for the car wash so be careful about that (there are do not enter signs). I didn't have any issues paying with credit card and getting in and out fast. I was filling up at 8pm on a Thursday and there was no wait for a pump. The attendant was available to answer questions.
